More for the programmer

SMPP uses a client-server operation model. The Message Center (SMSC), as a rule, acts as a server, waiting for a connection from the client — ESME. When SMPP is used for SMS peering, the sending MC usually acts as a client.

1. For setting to work, you need to connect and register the component library. «mswinsck.ocx».

If everything is set correctly, the “Microsoft WinSock Control, version 6.0” control will be available in the configurator (Fig. 2.3).

The SMPP connection settings (Hostname, SystemID, Password, Source Address, Destination Address) for the SMS service client are currently integrated into processing and are not editable in "1C:Підприємство" mode.

IMPORTANT! Sending SMS messages is performed only if in the "1C:Підприємство" application (“on the client”, in one of the sessions) the processing form is open. Sending SMS without interactive user actions, ("on the server"), currently is not available.
